THE ROAD TAKEN, THE PATH AHEAD

On July 18, #PlayersUnited have released an open letter to game publisher giant Scopely to draw its attention on a growing discontent amongst the player base of "The Walking Dead: Road To Survival". The community felt that the game economy in particular was pushing the edge too far by creating an impossible gap between the players, likely to end up in driving a lot of dedicated users away.

#PlayersUnited has thus issued a list of paramount improvements to be addressed by Scopely in order to bring more balance into the game, as well as ensuring the prosperity of the title that was about to reach 4 years into its first release.

This page is dedicated to the monitoring of the progress being made.

Gameplay

That is the meat of the game, what makes it enjoyable. In particular, it concerns:

  • the World Map

  • Survival Road

  • Faction Assault

  • the Player Levels

  • the Town

  • other game modes

  • ...

Almost everything requires a long overdue refresher and the recent changes seem more likely to worsen the situation.

Game Economy

It refers to the value for money invested and the balance F2P/P2P. In particular:

  • the Premier Wheels

  • the Exclusive Contents

  • the "grindable" items

  • the rewards

  • ...

The meta keeps changing too fast, whilst being more and more difficult to access for the players. The game has become far too much unbalanced.
